Former Vice President and NPP flagbearer for 2024, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, has expressed unwavering confidence that the legacy of former President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo will be vindicated by history.
Speaking during his ‘Thank You Tour’ on Sunday, April 27, Bawumia praised Akufo-Addo’s bold leadership, asserting that future generations will recognize the profound impact of his policies on Ghana’s development.
“History will be kind to President Akufo-Addo for the bold decisions he made for the benefit of our country,” Bawumia stated. While acknowledging some criticisms of Akufo-Addo’s initiatives, he emphasized that these decisions were pivotal in laying the groundwork for Ghana’s future growth.
Dr. Bawumia highlighted major accomplishments of Akufo-Addo’s administration, including the Free Senior High School program, the digitalization of public services, and key infrastructure projects. He stressed that these initiatives were long-term investments for the nation’s prosperity.
