A-Plus Eats Humble Pie, Deletes Post and Apologizes to AG
Kwame A-Plus expresses regret over his response to Dr. Ayine, citing poor tone and word choice.

- A-Plus publicly apologized to Dr. Dominic Ayine for using disrespectful language in a Facebook post
- He clarified the initial offensive post came from an impersonator
- The MP reaffirmed his commitment to integrity and respectful dialogue in Ghanaian politics
Gomoa Central MP Kwame Asare Obeng, widely recognized as A-Plus, has publicly apologized to Bolgatanga East MP and former Attorney General, Dr. Dominic Ayine, for what he described as an inappropriate tone and poor choice of words in a recent social media post.
In a statement issued today, A-Plus clarified that a controversial post attributed to him originated from an impersonator’s account.
However, he admitted that his own reaction—shared via Facebook in response to Dr. Ayine’s press conference—was uncalled for and disrespectful.
“After some introspection, I realize that my tone and language were not appropriate. As a younger colleague and junior in Parliament, I offer my sincere apologies to Hon. Dr. Ayine and to the general public,” he said.
The dispute arose when Dr. Ayine referenced the impersonated post during a press briefing and urged A-Plus to clarify his position on a separate matter involving the National Service Secretariat (NSS).
A-Plus denied any involvement in the NSS scandal, explaining that his only connection was assisting someone who approached him for media help in clearing his name. He emphasized that this was a media support gesture, not an effort to obstruct justice.
“The first and only time I encountered this issue was in November 2024. A gentleman approached me, claiming he was wrongly accused, and I helped amplify his voice in the media. Misinterpreting that as interference is something I respectfully reject.”
Although he distanced himself from the fake account, A-Plus took full responsibility for his own now-deleted post, calling its removal an act of remorse.
He concluded by reaffirming his dedication to the anti-corruption cause, rooted in fairness and mutual respect.
