NACOC Raids Drug Dens in Efiekuma; Arrests Suspects, Seizes Drugs

A special operations team from the Narcotics Control Commission (NACOC) headquarters in Accra launched a surprise raid in the early hours of today, Saturday, May 3,2025, in Efiekuma, a suburb of Takoradi, targeting suspected drug dens.

The operation, based on intelligence gathered by the agency, resulted in the arrest of several individuals and the seizure of various illicit substances.

Officials have not yet disclosed the identities of those arrested or the specific quantities of drugs recovered.

The raid forms part of NACOC’s ongoing crackdown on drug trafficking and substance abuse across the Western Region.

Authorities say investigations are currently underway to dismantle drug networks operating in the area.
