Black Stars Set for Four-Nation Tournament in England This June
Ghana’s senior national team to use high-profile friendlies as a key preparatory step ahead of September’s World Cup qualifiers.

Ghana’s senior national team, the Black Stars, will participate in a four-nation international tournament in June 2025, as confirmed by Dr. Randy Abbey, Chairman of the Black Stars Management Committee.
Following a challenging 2024, the team has started the new year on a high note, securing back-to-back wins against Chad and Madagascar in the 2026 World Cup Qualifiers. These victories have positioned Ghana at the top of Group I with 15 points.
With their next competitive matches scheduled for September, the Black Stars will use the June tournament in England as part of their preparations. Dr. Abbey sees this as a crucial opportunity for the technical team to refine tactics and integrate returning injured players ahead of the September qualifiers.
“We are hoping that some of the players who are injured will also be back and will be able to get an opportunity to play at least two games before the September matches,” he told 3Sports.
The Black Stars will return to competitive action in their World Cup qualifying clashes against Chad and Mali later this year.
