Black Stars Management Committee Working Without Pay – Minister Kofi Adams Confirms
Committee Members Serving on a Voluntary Basis, Await Possible Reward if Ghana Qualifies for World Cup

Sports and Recreation Minister Kofi Adams has revealed that members of the newly formed Black Stars Management Committee are not receiving any financial compensation for their roles.
The Ghana Football Association (GFA) dissolved the previous committee, led by Mark Addo, after Ghana failed to qualify for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON). A new committee was later appointed to oversee preparations for the World Cup qualifiers against Chad and Madagascar.
The committee is chaired by Dr. Randy Abbey, with former Black Stars captain Stephen Appiah serving as Vice Chairman and head of Player Relations. Other key members include Samuel Aboabire and Moses Armah, who manage matchday operations, while Richard Nsenkyire handles special duties.
When asked if these officials would receive any remuneration, especially following the team’s recent back-to-back victories, Minister Adams clarified that, as of now, they are not being paid.
“For now, Black Stars Management Committee members are not receiving any payment, but if we qualify for the World Cup, the government will determine an appropriate reward,” he stated in an interview.
He further disclosed that the government is only covering their accommodation and meals, emphasizing that their work is purely voluntary at this stage.
