Six Killed in Adansi Dompoase Road Crash — GNFS Issues Official Report

Six people have been confirmed dead following a tragic road traffic accident that occurred on Tuesday, April 22, 2025, at Adansi Dompoase, near the new ECG office in the Ashanti Region.
According to the Ghana National Fire Service (GNFS), the incident involved three vehicles: a Toyota Corolla (registration GE 7271-24), a Sprinter minibus (GS 6383-20), and a VIP bus (GW 8455-23).
The collision occurred around 1:00 PM when the Sprinter attempted to overtake the Corolla, which was turning into a washing bay.
The Sprinter veered off the road and became stuck in the middle, leading to a collision with the oncoming VIP bus.
The Sprinter was extensively damaged, resulting in the immediate deaths of six passengers on board. Several others sustained serious injuries and were transported to nearby hospitals for treatment.
According to the GNFS they received a distress call at 12:43 PM and promptly dispatched a rescue team led by ADOII Samuel Mensah. Rescue operations concluded by 1:28 PM, with the deceased handed over to the police. One injured individual was rushed to the Fomena Government Hospital for emergency care.
