Maddison Injury Concern Ahead of Europa League Clash, Says Postecoglou
Tottenham boss awaits clarity on midfielder’s fitness before Bodo/Glimt second leg

Tottenham Hotspur manager Ange Postecoglou has expressed concern over James Maddison’s fitness, admitting the midfielder’s injury “doesn’t look great” ahead of Thursday’s Europa League semi-final second leg against Bodo/Glimt.
Maddison, who scored in Spurs’ 3-1 first-leg victory over the Norwegian side, was forced off during the second half due to the injury and subsequently missed Sunday’s 1-1 Premier League draw with West Ham.
Speaking after the match at London Stadium, Postecoglou said: “It doesn’t look great, but we’re still waiting for more information. Hopefully, we’ll get some clarity on Monday.”
While Maddison remains a doubt, there is more optimism surrounding striker Dominic Solanke, who also missed the West Ham fixture due to a knock but could return in time for the trip to Norway.
Postecoglou’s side will be hoping to maintain their advantage as they seek a spot in the Europa League final.
