“Defend with Integrity, Serve with Commitment” – Mahama to Armed Forces

President John Dramani Mahama has urged members of the newly sworn-in Ghana Armed Forces Council to discharge their duties with wisdom, integrity, and an unwavering commitment to national service.
Speaking at the swearing-in ceremony on Monday, March 24, he emphasized the council’s pivotal role in maintaining national stability, bolstering security, and upholding the highest standards of professionalism within the Ghana Armed Forces (GAF).
Mahama reminded the council that their decisions would significantly impact the country’s defense strategy and the welfare of military personnel. He stressed the need for vigilance and proactive measures to counter emerging security threats, including terrorism, cybercrime, political instability, and climate-related challenges.
“The decisions you make as a council will shape the future of our Armed Forces. It is, therefore, imperative that you approach this role with wisdom, integrity, and a deep sense of national duty,” he stated.
