Salam Mustapha, the National Youth Organiser of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), has strongly refuted claims that the party’s current “Thank You” tour has spiraled into chaos. He labeled such reports as baseless and misleading.

The tour, which has faced public scrutiny due to controversial comments by former presidential candidate Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia and the withdrawal of Kennedy Agyapong following a reported stabbing incident at KNUST, has sparked public debate.

In an interview on Saturday, May 3, Mustapha maintained that the initiative remains well-coordinated and peaceful, aimed solely at appreciating party supporters and re-energising the grassroots.

“Absolutely not—there is no chaos. The tour is not, and cannot be, chaotic,” Mustapha asserted.

He further explained that the “Thank You” tour is a routine tradition within the NPP and is being carried out in the same structured manner as in previous years.

“This is nothing new. The NPP has always held such tours in an orderly fashion,” he stated.
