President John Dramani Mahama has dismissed allegations of tension between his administration and the judiciary, reaffirming his government’s commitment to collaboration with the legal fraternity.

Speaking at a Ghana Bar Association meeting on Wednesday, March 26, 2025, Mahama assured that his government values a strong partnership with the judiciary to enhance governance.

“There’s a perception that we have issues with the legal fraternity, but that’s not the case,” he stated, emphasizing his administration’s openness to working with legal professionals.

Citing key figures like Marietta Brew Appiah-Oppong in his government, Mahama highlighted their dedication to upholding the judiciary’s integrity. “We have no hostility toward the judiciary or the legal profession. Our doors remain open for dialogue and cooperation,” he added.
