The New Patriotic Party (NPP) has addressed claims by former Dome-Kwabenya MP, Sarah Adwoa Safo, that she was not informed about the postponement of a scheduled disciplinary hearing.
According to Haruna Mohammed, the party’s Deputy General Secretary, Adwoa Safo was duly notified through official channels, including a letter received by her legal team and multiple phone calls.
He emphasized that he personally attempted to reach her and that communication procedures were properly followed.
His clarification comes after Adwoa Safo expressed frustration over being served a summons and appearing at the party headquarters, only to find the disciplinary committee absent.
Speaking from the NPP headquarters in Accra on Monday, April 7, Mohammed stressed that the committee’s rescheduling was communicated and that a new date would be shared in due time.
He reaffirmed the party’s respect for Adwoa Safo as a senior member and highlighted the need for mutual understanding in times of disagreement.
“We’re committed to due process, and it’s important the public hears the facts,” he stated.
