A petty argument over GHC10 spiraled into a deadly confrontation in Akwapem Adukrom, Eastern Region, ending with the tragic death of a 15-year-old BECE student.
What started as a slap over the money quickly escalated when the suspect, 17, returned armed with a machete. The victim was struck in the shoulder and rushed to the hospital, but it was too late. He died from severe bleeding and head injuries.
The community is stunned, condemning the rise in youth violence. The victim’s family is heartbroken and demanding justice.
Police have arrested three individuals: the attacker, the machete owner, and a possible accomplice. Investigations are ongoing.
