Nigerian President Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu has expressed strong belief in the leadership of Ghana’s newly inaugurated President, John Dramani Mahama.

Speaking at Mahama’s swearing-in ceremony on January 7, 2025, in Accra, Tinubu praised Mahama’s commitment and voiced his confidence that his administration will usher in significant positive changes for the country.

“I have no doubt that your administration will bring about positive change and progress,” Tinubu remarked, reinforcing Nigeria’s full support for Mahama’s leadership and offering help whenever needed.

In his inaugural speech, President Mahama emphasized the need for a national reset to tackle Ghana’s most pressing challenges.

He acknowledged the widespread economic struggles and difficulties faced over recent years but expressed hope for a brighter future, promising that these tough times are not permanent.

Mahama assured the nation that his government would lead the way toward renewal and prosperity, stressing the need for governance and economic management that truly benefits the people.

“If democracy is celebrated as the best form of governance, then its outcomes must be tangible and improve lives,” Mahama stated. Despite the hardships, he noted, “There is hope on the horizon. Today marks a new opportunity for us to make a difference in our governance and economic management. We will reset our nation, Ghana.”
