Recalling the event, Davido said, “Meeting Chris Brown changed my life. I met him in 2018. He had a Nigerian friend, one of his best friends. One day, the friend FaceTimed me, and I could hear my song playing in the background. I asked where he was, and he told me he was at Chris Brown’s house. I was shocked—’What? You guys are playing my music?’ Then he showed me Chris dancing to my song.”
Davido continued, “He handed the phone to Chris Brown, and that was our first conversation. A few months later, I went to the U.S. and linked up with Chris. From that first meeting, we naturally became good friends.”
