Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, the New Patriotic Party (NPP) flagbearer, confidently predicts a win in the upcoming December 7 general elections.
Speaking at a rally in Ketu North, an area often seen as a stronghold for the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC), Bawumia highlighted the NPP government’s achievements as crucial to overcoming his main rival, former President John Dramani Mahama.
Addressing a lively crowd, Bawumia showcased the progress made under President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo and his own vice presidency, asserting that their accomplishments far outshine those of Mahama’s administration.
After visiting over 200 constituencies across the country, Bawumia expressed optimism, telling supporters, “From what I’ve seen, I know we are winning this election. By midnight on December 7, you will hear that NPP has claimed victory.”
His trip to the Volta Region, typically regarded as the NDC’s stronghold, is part of a broader strategy to expand the NPP’s influence and secure votes in historically challenging areas.
Throughout his campaign, Bawumia has emphasized the NPP’s governance record as a key differentiator from the NDC, pointing to various policy successes that he believes highlight the party’s dedication to enhancing the lives of Ghanaians.
