President John Dramani Mahama has underscored that the National Economic Dialogue goes beyond being a symbolic gesture or fulfilling a campaign promise.

In his remarks during the opening session of the Dialogue on Monday, March 3, he emphasized, “This gathering is more than just a symbolic exercise or the fulfilment of a campaign promise.”

He further explained, “It is a crucial step in our collective responsibility to reset Ghana’s economy, restore confidence, and build the prosperous future we all envision.”

President Mahama highlighted that the Dialogue marks the beginning of a process to engage in open, solution-oriented discussions about the challenges the country faces and the opportunities ahead. “Our nation stands at a pivotal moment, and the choices we make now will determine the trajectory of our economy for generations to come,” he stated.

As the leader of the dialogue, Mahama reflected on the importance of the conversation, noting, “I have the honour of leading this discussion on the theme, ‘Resetting Ghana, building the economy we want together.'”

“This theme embodies our shared commitment to creating an economy that is resilient, inclusive, and grounded in sustainable growth,” he added.

“It is an invitation to all stakeholders to contribute their ideas and dedication to this national effort,” Mahama concluded.
