A man has been arrested after allegedly killing his wife in a fit of rage over suspected infidelity. Eric Adakanu, 32, was detained by the Kasoa Divisional Police Command and transferred to the Bawjiase District Police Command.
The incident unfolded at Awutu Bawjiase in the Awutu Senya West District of the Central Region when Eric accused his wife, Ayisha Mununi, 32, of cheating. Despite Ayisha denying the accusations, a heated argument ensued.
In the midst of the altercation, Eric entered his brother’s room, grabbed a cutlass, and fatally attacked Ayisha, who died instantly. The couple, who had been married for over ten years and had three children, had been visiting Eric’s older brother in Bawjiase for Christmas celebrations.
Eric is currently in police custody, while Ayisha’s body has been sent to the Police Hospital mortuary.
