John Dramani Mahama, the flagbearer for the National Democratic Congress (NDC), cast his vote in Bole, his hometown in the Savannah Region, expressing confidence in securing a win in the ongoing presidential election.

Speaking to the media after voting, Mahama described the voting process as smooth and efficient.

“It took me less than three minutes to complete both my presidential and parliamentary votes,” he said.

He encouraged all Ghanaians to come out in large numbers to exercise their civic duty and ensure a peaceful voting process.

“If the process is as smooth everywhere else as it has been here, I’m confident we’ll have a successful election,” Mahama noted. “This election is one where the results are already quite clear to most people. Unlike previous elections, the direction is obvious, largely due to the poor performance of Bawumia and Akufo-Addo.”

Mahama expressed his belief that Ghanaians would grant him the opportunity to serve again, emphasizing his trust in the democratic process and the will of the people.

Before heading to the Bole D/A polling station to vote, Mahama visited his family home, where he stopped by his father’s grave to pray.

Surrounded by family and well-wishers, Mahama shared that it was part of his tradition to seek blessings and guidance from his father and ancestors during moments of significance.

“These are prayers for my father,” he explained. “I ask him to stand by me as I take part in today’s contest.”
