President John Dramani Mahama has reiterated his administration’s dedication to improving healthcare for military personnel and their families, pledging to finish and fully equip the Kumasi Military Hospital in Afari, Central Command.

During the graduation of officer cadets at the Ghana Military Academy on April 11, the President stressed that the welfare of the armed forces is a top priority for his government.

“Your health is a priority, and we will ensure the completion of the Kumasi Military Hospital and provide funding for a military field hospital in Tamale,” Mahama announced.

In addition to healthcare improvements, the President outlined plans to enhance working conditions, ensure fair compensation, and improve retirement benefits for both active duty members and veterans. He emphasized that the government is committed to sustainable financial support for the Ghana Armed Forces through initiatives like GEHOC.

His remarks received applause from the audience, including military leaders, government officials, and the families of the graduating cadets, reinforcing his commitment to the modernization of the military and the recognition of their service.
