A heartbreaking accident at Patase in Kumasi has left two people dead and a driver in critical condition after a school bus crashed into a roadside kiosk.
The incident happened around 6:14 PM on Tuesday, April 7, 2025.
According to reports, a school bus bearing registration number GT 6661-17—belonging to Palmer International School—veered off the road and collided with an elderly woman and a plumber she had engaged to work in her store.
Eyewitnesses told Lawson News that the bus rammed into the kiosk where the victims were sitting. Fortunately, there were no schoolchildren aboard the vehicle at the time of the crash.
The bus driver, whose identity is yet to be disclosed, is currently receiving treatment at a nearby hospital and remains in critical condition.
The mortal remains of the two victims have been transported to the morgue as authorities investigate the cause of the crash
