A middle-aged man, believed to be in his early 40s, has been found dead in a bush at Owuraku, a suburb of Adoagyiri in the Nsawam-Adoagyiri Municipality of the Eastern Region.
Eyewitnesses report that the victim sustained severe head injuries, and his throat was nearly slit, suggesting a brutal attack.
His lifeless body was discovered near a football field by residents, who quickly alerted community leaders and the police.
Speaking about the shocking incident, residents expressed fear and concern over the gruesome nature of the killing.
Odokwei Damtey, a unit committee member in the area, confirmed the deceased’s identity and called on the police to intensify their investigations to bring the perpetrators to justice.
Authorities have since launched a probe into the mysterious killing.
