As Ghana prepares for its 9th general election on Saturday, December 7 2024, the Minister for National Security, Albert Kan-Dapaah, has issued a strong warning to those intending to cause unrest.
He emphasized that anyone planning violence during the elections would face severe consequences and deeply regret their actions.
Speaking on the Lawson TV/Radio Ghana Se Sen Morning Show, Kan-Dapaah urged citizens not to let politicians influence them into creating disturbances.
He reminded Ghanaians that voting is their right and encouraged everyone to vote for the party of their choice.
While noting that soldiers will not be stationed at polling centers to avoid instilling fear, Kan-Dapaah reassured the public that the military would be deployed if necessary to maintain peace and order.
