Sudan’s national men’s football team head coach, James Kwasi Appiah, has expressed optimism about his team’s chances of defeating Ghana in their upcoming 2025 AFCON qualifier.
The two sides will face off in Benghazi, Libya, on Monday, October 14, following a goalless draw in their first leg encounter in Accra.
Despite Ghana’s dominance in the second half, which saw several missed opportunities, Sudan managed to secure a draw.
In an interview with Sudanese media, Appiah assured fans of a victory in the return leg. “We played a tough game against Ghana, but we fought hard and managed to get a draw. Now, we’re going to Libya for the return leg. It won’t be easy, but with God’s help, we’ll fight and bring a victory for Sudan,” he said.
Ahead of the match, Sudan sits second in Group F with four points, while Ghana is in third place with two points from three games.
