In response to former President John Mahama’s critique of the NPP’s policies as “stupid,” the party’s presidential candidate, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, has asserted that the December 7 elections will be decided on achievements and impact, not insults.
Speaking at a rally in the Oforikrom constituency, Bawumia emphasized the NPP’s strong track record, stating that their policies have positively impacted nearly every Ghanaian household over the past eight years.
Confident in the party’s performance, Bawumia dismissed personal attacks as irrelevant to the election outcome.
Supporting this stance, Ashanti Regional NPP Chairman Bernard Antwi Boasiako (Wontumi) voiced the party’s goal for an overwhelming win, aiming for an 80% vote share in the Ashanti Region.
He assured supporters that the NPP is fully mobilized to secure a mandate based on its governance record.
