Ghana’s national football team head coach, Otto Addo, has admitted that he felt “dead” following the team’s defeat to Sudan in the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers.
The Black Stars suffered a setback in their qualification bid, losing 2-0 to Sudan at the Benina Martyrs Stadium in Benghazi, Libya.
The loss extended Ghana’s winless run to four games, leaving them third in Group F with only two points.
“To be honest, the last two days [After Sudan match], I was dead,” Addo said in an interview with GFA media. “But now, I got a lot of positive feedback and a lot of support from family, friends, and this is the time I need them.”
Addo emphasized the importance of moving forward and focusing on the remaining qualifying matches.
The Black Stars face Angola and Niger in their final two games, needing maximum points to maintain their slim hopes of qualifying for the continental tournament.
Angola has already secured their spot with 12 points, while Sudan, currently in second place, only needs a draw from their remaining two games to book their place.
