The National Democratic Congress (NDC) has appealed to its supporters to vacate collation centres and return home.
The party urged the supporters to entrust the election process to the party’s leadership and technical team.
This announcement, issued on December 10, follows escalating tensions at the Accra regional collation centre due to delays in announcing results for the Ablekuma North constituency. The hold-up stems from disagreements between the presiding officer and representatives from both the NDC and the New Patriotic Party (NPP).
The NDC commended the dedication of its members and agents overseeing the collation process and assured them of the leadership’s commitment to ensuring transparency and fairness.
Supporters were urged to remain calm, united, and confident in the party’s ability to secure the victory they believe Ghana deserves.
