Four individuals were apprehended after the Narcotics Control Commission (NACOC) intercepted a shipment of suspected cocaine at the Swiss Port on Wednesday, April 23.
During the operation, NACOC officials discovered 73 slabs of a concealed substance, weighing approximately 89.74 kilograms, believed to be cocaine.
The narcotics were reportedly intended for export to the Netherlands, and the successful interception follows an intelligence-led operation aimed at disrupting international drug trafficking through Ghana’s ports.
The suspects, whose identities remain confidential, are currently in custody while investigations are ongoing.
