Following a swift investigation, the Ashanti Regional Police Command has apprehended 34-year-old Robert Kwabena Boamah in connection with the brutal murder of 23-year-old Dorothy Owusu Annor, affectionately known as Maa Abena.

Boamah was tracked down and arrested on Wednesday, April 23, at his hideout in Namong, near Offinso.

The discovery of Maa Abena’s body, bearing multiple stab wounds, in the Tanoso Electoral Area on Monday, April 21, prompted an immediate police response.

An abandoned taxi belonging to Boamah, found at the scene, provided a crucial early lead. Police report that Boamah confessed to the crime during interrogation and had attempted suicide.

He received medical treatment and is now awaiting arraignment.

The Ashanti Regional Police Command has reaffirmed its dedication to combating violent crime and securing justice for victims.
