Ghana’s President-elect, John Dramani Mahama, has candidly acknowledged the significant economic hurdles the country faces and the immense effort required to restore stability and growth.
Speaking at a thanksgiving service at the Assemblies of God Church in Accra, Mahama reaffirmed his commitment to addressing the economic crisis head-on while seeking divine guidance for the journey ahead.
“Our nation remains in a severe economic crisis. Restoring prosperity will demand substantial effort and resilience,” he said. “I pray that the God who entrusted me with this responsibility will grant me the strength and wisdom to lead effectively.”
Mahama further emphasized the need for discernment in appointing the right individuals to advance Ghana’s best interests. He reassured the nation of his unwavering faith in God’s enduring favor, promising that Ghana will not be abandoned in its time of need.
“God’s favor is still upon Ghana, and I firmly believe He will guide us through these challenging times,” Mahama declared.
