The New Patriotic Party (NPP) is determined to secure a decisive victory in the upcoming December 7 general election, according to Lawyer Joseph Osei-Owusu, popularly known as Joe Wise, and the current MP for Ashanti Bekwai.
Joe Wise asserted that the NPP is poised to capture more Parliamentary seats, reclaiming its Majority status.
Currently, Ghana’s Parliament is in a hung situation, with the NPP holding 138 seats compared to 137 held by the National Democratic Congress (NDC).
This tight margin has led to intense debates and conflicts, resulting in public criticism of the 8th Parliament as one of the most contentious in recent history.
Speaking on the Ghana Se Sen Morning Show on Lawson TV/Radio, Joe Wise expressed confidence that an increase in Parliamentary seats would also translate to a Presidential victory for the NPP.
“We are convinced of winning the Presidential election,” he stated.
