“No ambitions of any politician or political party will ever compromise the peace and stability that we have worked so hard to build,” he stated firmly.

The President urged security agencies to demonstrate the highest standards of professionalism and neutrality during the electoral process. He expressed confidence that Ghana’s democracy would withstand current tensions surrounding the elections.

“In just two weeks, Ghana will showcase its democratic maturity through the conduct of free and fair elections,” President Akufo-Addo asserted. He urged security personnel to perform their duties with integrity, ensuring the safety and security of all citizens.

Reassuring the nation of his steadfast commitment to democracy, he stated, “The right to free and fair elections is non-negotiable, and I am devoted to ensuring that the will of the people prevails in every election.”

As he prepares to transition from office, the President emphasized his dedication to safeguarding Ghana’s peace and democratic processes. “The peace of Ghana is a sacred trust. As I transition from office, I will do so with utmost respect for our democratic processes, ensuring a secure future for generations to come.”

President Akufo-Addo also discussed his administration’s efforts to enhance national security through the establishment of military bases across the country. “The security landscape in our region is dynamic and at times unpredictable,” he remarked.

He highlighted the complexities of challenges facing the nation, from environmental degradation due to illegal mining to the rising threat of terrorism from the Sahel. “The armed forces must remain vigilant, adaptable, and prepared to confront these evolving threats with resolve,” he added. “My government is committed to progressively expanding the armed forces to ensure a military presence across all 16 regions of our nation.”
