Dr. Anthony Nsiah Asare, Presidential Advisor on Health, delivered a pointed critique of the New Democratic Party (NPP) presidential candidate, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia.

Dr. Nsiah Asare highlighted that instead of ‘resetting’ Ghana, Dr. Bawumia intends to take decisive action to address the country’s challenges.

This remark comes in response to former President John Dramani Mahama’s pledge to ‘reset’ Ghana if he wins the election.

Speaking on the Ama Ghana Morning Show on Time FM, Dr. Nsiah Asare emphasized the urgent need for job creation for the youth rather than taking a step back.

He affirmed Bawumia’s proven track record, asserting that Ghanaians are aware of the Vice President’s contributions.

Dr. Nsiah Asare lauded Bawumia’s significant advancements in the health sector, noting that he and President Akufo-Addo have greatly improved healthcare services.

He highlighted that the National Health Insurance Scheme is current with its payments and has not regressed, despite the inevitable changes in the system.

He also pointed out that the previous NDC administration left behind a backlog of 12 months’ claims, which the NPP government has successfully addressed.
