In Anambra State, an 18-year-old young man has become the center of attention after it was revealed he has fathered children with at least 10 girls.
The matter was shared publicly by the state’s Commissioner for Women’s Affairs and Social Welfare, Ify Obinabo, who posted a video explaining the situation.
Two of the girls involved are his master’s daughter and a salesgirl, while the others were all affected shortly after he was sent back to his village following an early dismissal from his apprenticeship.
Obinabo, in her video, shared her concern and asked for public guidance, admitting the complexity of the situation.
One mother involved described her distress, mentioning how she feels uneasy whenever a girl approaches her home. In an effort to understand the boy’s actions, Obinabo revealed that the young man claimed he simply tells the girls he loves them and will marry them once he is able to build his wealth.
With the situation affecting so many, Obinabo reached out to the community for advice, acknowledging that this problem is beyond her ability to solve alone.
