Ghana’s Black Queens will face a stern test in their quest to qualify for the 2026 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON), hosted by Morocco.
The team will face either Rwanda or Egypt in the second round of the qualifiers.
Having secured a place in the 2025 WAFCON, the Black Queens, under the guidance of Nora Hauptle, aim to continue their impressive run.
A total of 38 African nations will battle it out for 12 spots in the final tournament.
South Africa, Zambia, Ghana, Côte d’Ivoire, Nigeria, and Cameroon have been exempted from the first round due to their high FIFA rankings.
The second round of qualifiers, scheduled for October 20-28, 2025, will determine the final 12 teams to join hosts Morocco.
The first round of qualifiers will take place from February 17-26, 2025.
