Bawumia Ends Campaign with a Final Blessing from Otumfuo

Vice President and NPP Presidential Candidate, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, has proudly recounted to Asantehene Otumfuo Osei Tutu II his adherence to advice given ahead of his political campaign.
During a visit to the Manhyia Palace on Thursday, December 5, 2024, Dr. Bawumia emphasized that he toured all 276 constituencies, focusing on his vision and achievements while avoiding insults, in line with Otumfuo’s counsel.
“I sought Otumfuo’s blessings and guidance before my campaign. He advised me to remain truthful, focus on my message, and refrain from insults. I strictly followed this counsel,” he said, adding that he engaged diverse groups nationwide to share his policies and vision.
Seeking Final Blessings
As he concluded his campaign, Dr. Bawumia returned to Manhyia to seek Otumfuo’s prayers and blessings for electoral victory. He also called on Ghanaians to turn out in large numbers to vote for the NPP.
Commendation from Otumfuo
The Asantehene commended Dr. Bawumia for respecting his advice and acknowledged the effort he put into a clean campaign. However, he reminded him that the ultimate decision lies with God and the will of the people.
“I have blessed you, but the rest is in God’s hands. May He guide your steps and prosper your works,” Otumfuo affirmed, urging unity between Dr. Bawumia and his running mate, Dr. Matthew Opoku Prempeh.
The Vice President’s delegation included notable NPP figures such as Dr. Matthew Opoku Prempeh, Hon. Sarah Adwoa Safo, Hon. Francis Asenso-Boakye, and Bernard Antwi Boasiako.
