Evangelist Patricia Asiedua Asiamah, popularly known as Nana Agradaa, has passionately defended Sammy Gyamfi, the Acting CEO of the Ghana Gold Board, in the wake of a viral video that has ignited a national conversation.

The controversial footage shows Gyamfi handing what appears to be a stack of U.S. dollar bills to Agradaa, a former fetish priestess turned Christian evangelist.

The clip has triggered a storm of criticism, especially from the Minority in Parliament, who are demanding Gyamfi’s immediate suspension over possible ethical breaches.

Taking to Instagram Live, Agradaa vehemently dismissed the public backlash, insisting the donation was harmless and morally justifiable. She dramatically declared her willingness to burn down her church if Gyamfi is forced out of his role because of the incident.

“This is my mantle, my Bible, and my anointing oil. As a woman of God, I declare that if Sammy Gyamfi loses his job over me, I will set my church on fire,” she proclaimed. “The Bible says to do good to all, without discrimination. If he gave me money, that’s his right.”

Amid the growing controversy, Gyamfi was summoned to the Presidency and met with the Chief of Staff on May 12.

While the details of their discussion remain confidential, it is believed the meeting aimed to assess the fallout and clarify the context of the video. A briefing is expected to be given to President John Dramani Mahama, who is currently in Togo attending the African Union Debt Conference.
