President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo is set to inaugurate several hospitals today, December 5, 2024, as part of the government’s Agenda 111 initiative.
This flagship project, aimed at expanding healthcare infrastructure across Ghana, will enhance access to quality medical services nationwide.
The inauguration includes the Atwima Kwanwoma Municipal Hospital in Trede and the Oforikrom Municipal Hospital in the Ashanti Region, marking significant steps toward fulfilling the promise of building 111 district and specialized hospitals across the country.
Dr. Anthony Nsiah-Asare, Presidential Advisor on Health, emphasized that these hospitals are equipped with state-of-the-art facilities, including modern medical units, advanced equipment, and skilled healthcare professionals to ensure optimal service delivery. “These hospitals feature a complete range of services, from emergency care to specialized departments such as eye, dental, and pediatric services, alongside essential amenities like maternity wards, pharmacies, and laboratories,” he stated.
The Agenda 111 initiative represents President Akufo-Addo’s vision to enhance Ghana’s healthcare system, alleviate patient congestion, and improve overall health outcomes. Today’s inauguration is a significant milestone in realizing this transformative goal.
