23 Killed, 55 Injured in Drone and Artillery Strikes in Sudan

Deadly Drone and Artillery Attacks Continue to Ravage Sudan

Recent attacks in Khartoum, Sudan have left at least 23 people dead and 55 injured, according to local health authorities and a volunteer organization.

A tragic artillery strike by the paramilitary Rapid Support Forces (RSF) in Omdurman claimed the life of a 6-year-old girl and injured 17 others, including eight children. Those injured were taken to Al-Nao Hospital for medical care.

The RSF has yet to comment on the incident.

In a separate attack on Tuesday, a drone strike of unclear origin in the Sihreej area of southern Khartoum resulted in 22 fatalities and 38 injuries, with many victims in critical condition and taken to Bashair Hospital, as reported by Ahmed Al-Sadiq from the South Khartoum Emergency Room.

Since mid-April 2023, Sudan has been engulfed in a brutal conflict between the Sudanese Armed Forces and the RSF, leading to over 24,850 deaths, according to a report from the Armed Conflict Location & Event Data Project.
