The West African Examinations Council (WAEC) has debunked recent rumors suggesting the relocation of its headquarters from Ghana to Nigeria.

Media reports had speculated that financial challenges, linked to Ghana’s indebtedness to WAEC, were pushing the organization to consider a move.

However, John Kapi, WAEC’s Head of Public Relations, swiftly denied these claims, emphasizing that there have been no discussions regarding a headquarters relocation.

He reiterated that the WAEC headquarters will continue to be based in Accra, as established by its founding law.
