The People’s National Convention (PNC) has officially endorsed the National Democratic Congress (NDC) ahead of the upcoming December polls.
The decision, reached after consultations with the party’s National Executive Committee (NEC) and Functional Executive Committee (FEC), was announced by PNC National Chairman, Samson Asaki Awingobit, at a press briefing in Accra on Wednesday, November 27, 2024.
“Nine days to the general election, the PNC, not having a presidential candidate, cannot remain neutral,” Awingobit stated. “In consultation with the leader, NEC representatives, and FEC members, we collectively decided to back the NDC presidential candidate for the 2024 elections.”
He added that this strategic alliance aims to foster collaboration between the PNC and the next NDC-led government, ensuring a partnership in governance.
