TikTok has begun restoring its services in the United States, citing collaboration with its service providers and intervention from former U.S. President Donald Trump.
The company thanked Trump for providing clarity and assurances to its partners, ensuring they would not face penalties for supporting TikTok’s operations.
With over 170 million U.S. users, TikTok highlighted its vital role for small businesses, noting that more than seven million rely on the platform for growth.
Calling the development “a strong stand for the First Amendment and against arbitrary censorship,” TikTok reaffirmed its commitment to collaborating with Trump on a sustainable solution to secure its presence in the country.
The announcement follows a period of uncertainty after TikTok briefly went offline in the U.S., coinciding with the enactment of a law banning the app.
A message displayed to users at the time stated: “You can’t use TikTok for now.”
This restoration marks a significant step toward stability for the platform and its extensive user base.
