Patrick Boamah Retains Okaikwei Central Seat After Court-Ordered Re-Collation
Tema Central and Okaikwei Central sealed for NPP after EC completes court-mandated recounts
- Patrick Boamah (NPP) won Okaikwei Central with 21,099 votes, defeating Baba Sadiq (NDC), who polled 19,368 votes
- The High Court mandated the EC to finalize incomplete results in Okaikwei Central and other constituencies
- Charles Forson (NPP) also secured Tema Central after a narrow victory over Ebi Bright (NDC)
Incumbent MP for Okaikwei Central, Patrick Yaw Boamah (NPP), has been declared the winner with 21,099 votes, defeating Baba Sadiq (NDC), who garnered 19,368 votes.
This declaration follows a High Court ruling that mandated the Electoral Commission (EC) to finalize results for multiple constituencies, including Okaikwei Central, Tema Central, Ablekuma North, and Techiman South.
In Tema Central, Charles Forson (NPP) narrowly edged out Ebi Bright (NDC) with 18,870 votes against her 18,815.
The court’s decision stems from mandamus applications compelling the EC to complete incomplete collation, ensuring transparency and fairness in the electoral process.
