A 48-year-old pastor has been remanded into police custody by the Asante Akropong Circuit Court for spreading false information about Prophet Stephen Adom Kyei-Duah, the founder of the Philadelphia Church.

Emmanuel Boachie faces charges of publishing false news and offensive conduct likely to disturb the peace.

The accused, who is also the head of Souls Pasture Church and the principal of Awesome Bible College in Achiase, denied the charges.

He is set to return to court on April 30, 2025, before Mrs. Gloria Mensah Bonsu.

According to the prosecution, Boachie posted a video on April 13, 2025, across social media platforms like WhatsApp, TikTok, and Facebook, falsely accusing Prophet Adom Kyei-Duah of being a false prophet, thief, murderer, anti-Christ, and a harmful influence on the Christian community.

The video quickly went viral, prompting the complainant to report the matter to the Kumasi Tafo Police, leading to Boachie’s arrest.

During initial investigations, the pastor reportedly admitted to the charges. Further investigations are ongoing.
