Okyeame Kwame Names Amerado and Lyrical Joe as Top Young Rappers in GhanaT

Okyeame Kwame has reaffirmed his views on the performance of Ghana’s younger generation of rappers.

While he acknowledges that many new artists are excelling, he specifically names Amerado and Lyrical Joe as his top picks among the emerging MCs.

He stated, “Flowking Stone and EL are my favorite Ghanaian rappers. Their rap moves me, but when it comes to the new generation that truly resonates with me, it has to be Amerado and Lyrical Joe.”

Okyeame praised both Amerado and Lyrical Joe for their conceptual depth, style, skill, cadence, energy, and rhythm.

This statement follows Okyeame’s comments last year to Graphic Showbiz, where he argued that the younger generation of rappers surpasses their predecessors. “I believe there shouldn’t be any debate about this. The younger artists are completely better than us, and that’s the essence of evolution,” he remarked, highlighting Amerado and Lyrical Joe as examples of younger rappers whose delivery outshines his own.
