  • Amoako Nsiah urges the NDC to focus on preventing interference and ensuring a fair election process

Enock Amoako Nsiah, former Ashanti Regional Security Coordinator under John Mahama, has predicted that if the general elections were held today, the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) would secure more than 55% of the vote.

Mr. Amoako Nsiah, who is currently touring the country as part of the NDC’s election campaign, stated that he has been closely listening to the views of Ghanaians.

Speaking on the Lawson TV/Radio Ghana ‘Se Sen’ Morning Show, he emphasized that the 2024 elections will be a significant departure from past elections.

He further claimed that the NDC’s only task is to prevent any interference from the New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the election process.

“Most of the NPP’s victories in the Ashanti Region are rigged. NDC votes for 2012 was reduced by about 109,000 to get 2016 results and same was added to NPP 2012 to get NPP 2016 results,” he argued.

“Our electoral system in Africa is the best, but due to rigging, things go wrong. Polling agents are often sidelined, and the process is manipulated. The NPP works closely with the Electoral Commission to undermine the system,” he told Kwame Tanko

He said the NPP is not a party the people of the Ashanti Region should vote for, arguing that the NPP does not respect the Ashantis.
