President-elect John Dramani Mahama has instructed the National Democratic Congress (NDC) leadership to nominate The Right Honourable Alban Sumana Kingsford Bagbin as Speaker of the 9th Parliament of the Fourth Republic.

This decision, made after extensive consultations within the NDC, celebrates Bagbin’s exceptional contributions to Parliament over the years.

Bagbin, who previously served as Speaker of the 8th Parliament, Minority Leader, Majority Leader, and a long-standing MP for Nadwoli, has earned a reputation for his expertise and leadership. Mahama expressed confidence in Bagbin’s ability to enhance Parliament’s effectiveness in strengthening Ghana’s democracy.
