Mahama Appoints Mohammed Abdul-Salam as Acting CEO of NLA
New leadership takes charge at the National Lottery Authority following Sammi Awuku’s resignation
- Mohammed Abdul-Salam named Acting CEO of NLA, effective January 15
- Abdul-Salam is currently the NDC Northern Regional Secretary
- Appointment follows Sammi Awuku’s resignation after becoming MP for Akuapem North
President John Mahama has named Mohammed Abdul-Salam as the Acting Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the National Lottery Authority (NLA), effective Wednesday, January 15.
The announcement was made in a statement signed by Dr. Callistus Mahama, Executive Secretary to the President.
Abdul-Salam, who serves as the Northern Regional Secretary for the National Democratic Congress (NDC), takes over following the resignation of Sammi Awuku.
Awuku, now the Member of Parliament for Akuapem North, requested a new appointment for a smooth transition in his resignation letter dated January 13.
