Felix Kwakye Ofosu, Minister of State for Communications, expressed optimism that President John Dramani Mahama may further integrate members of the Ghanaian diaspora into his administration.

During his vetting on January 31, Ofosu praised Mahama’s record of embracing diversity and breaking barriers in governance.

He lauded the President’s commitment to inclusivity, highlighting Mahama’s history of ensuring no group is overlooked.

According to Ofosu, Mahama’s progressive leadership is evident in his record of appointing individuals from various backgrounds, including the groundbreaking selection of Professor Jane Naana Opoku-Agyemang as the first female Vice President.

Emphasizing the potential of the diaspora, Ofosu noted that Ghana has a vast network of skilled professionals abroad, whose expertise could play a crucial role in shaping the nation’s future development.

While he refrained from making definitive claims, Ofosu expressed confidence that members of the diaspora who show competence will find a place within the government.
