Newly appointed Finance Minister, Dr. Cassiel Ato Forson, has expressed profound gratitude to President John Dramani Mahama for entrusting him with the role and to God for granting him the opportunity to serve the nation.
In a heartfelt Facebook post following Parliament’s approval of his nomination on January 21, Dr. Forson pledged to serve with humility, integrity, diligence, and transparency.
“I am deeply humbled and grateful to the Almighty God for this opportunity to serve Ghana in the capacity of Finance Minister. I extend my heartfelt gratitude to H.E. President John Dramani Mahama for entrusting me with this enormous responsibility, to Parliament for their confidence and support, and to the people of Ghana for their trust,” he wrote.
Dr. Forson committed to tackling Ghana’s pressing economic challenges, including stabilizing inflation, strengthening the Cedi, and fostering job creation.
“As I assume this high office, I assure all Ghanaians that I am committed to serving with humility, integrity, diligence, and transparency,” he added, emphasizing Ghana’s readiness for business and inviting investments to drive sustainable development.
