In a heartwarming display of compassion this Easter, the Mensah Mental Health Rehabilitation Project (MEMHREP) reached out to dozens of recovered mental health patients across Ghana with donations of essential items and cash.

The nationwide exercise, which took place on Easter Monday, April 20, 2025, was part of MEMHREP’s ongoing mission to uplift those affected by mental illness.
Recipients received food supplies, second-hand clothing, medication, and individual cash gifts. The donation drive culminated in a significant event in the Ashanti Region, held in Ekyem within the Ejisu Municipality. Nearly 200 individuals, who have made substantial recovery progress thanks to MEMHREP’s support, benefited from this outreach.

Mr. Mensah Adu Gyamfi, the Founder and Director of MEMHREP, led the donation ceremony and emphasized that the initiative was a gesture of love and solidarity during the Easter celebration. He noted that since its establishment in 2011, MEMHREP has consistently provided both medical and financial assistance to persons battling mental health challenges.

He reassured attendees that the organization remains committed to continuing its support, especially for the most vulnerable in society.
“Our mission is to help maintain and improve the well-being of recovered patients by ensuring access to quality mental health care,” he said.

Beneficiaries expressed deep gratitude for the ongoing support. Isaac Mensah, one of the recovered patients, shared his journey: “Before MEMHREP, I was shunned by society.

Their support changed my life entirely.” Another beneficiary, Christina Boakye, echoed his sentiments, stating that MEMHREP has never stopped supporting her since they stepped into her life.
